Our story

We are the young parents of a one-year-old girl, and not long ago we faced the challenge of starting solids ourselves. We wanted mealtimes to be pleasant, fun and safe, so we looked for things that would encourage our daughter’s independence and be kind to the environment at the same time.

We couldn’t find anything that matched what we wanted, so we decided to make our own. That is how these friendly, carefully considered products came about — they cut down on plastic and are environmentally friendly, safe, durable and in some cases biodegradable.

Why a suction base

A child learning to eat moves the plate around. That is part of learning — right up until it lands on the floor. So we gave our plates and bowls a removable silicone suction base that grips the table or the high chair.

The result isn’t only less cleaning up. A child whose bowl stays put stays focused on the meal for longer and becomes independent sooner.
